Robusta coffee beans
Robusta is a smaller coffee bean, which is also rounder than the arabica coffee bean. In addition, it is also more powerful and harder in taste than the arabica.
The Robusta grows better in the lower warmer places compared to its relative. In addition, it is more resistant to harmful external influences.
The Robusta is mostly grown in Africa, Brazil and Asia.
In general, this coffee bean is used in the cheaper blends. And is often harvested mechanically. Many quick filter grinds often also contain robust coffee beans.
Arabica coffee beans
The Arabica coffee beans are somewhat more oval in shape. The color is often yellowish to blue-grey. This shrub needs about an area of 2 by 2 meters.
This coffee bean is mostly grown in South and Central America, with Brazil as the absolute champion of coffee production.
With the Arabica coffee beans you often see that the type of bean is mentioned, for example you have probably seen the following names: Bourbon, Maragogype or Blue Mountain.
